The brand story
Hum Badle Nahi.
Bas Thode Saj Gaye.
Once upon a time, there was a chappal. Not a sneaker. Not a sandal. Not a designer creation. Just a simple rubber chappal.
White sole. Blue straps. No logo. No attitude. No fancy packaging.
Read the story
A part of everyday India
It belonged
to everyone.
Yet somehow, it was everywhere: in the narrow lanes of small towns, on the terraces of big cities, outside temples, at chai stalls, on college campuses, and in almost every Indian home.
The schoolboy playing cricket. The father reading his newspaper. The grandmother watering her plants. The businessman relaxing after a long day.
It never cared who you were.
It just made you comfortable being yourself.
Then, things changed
Footwear became fashion.
Fashion became status.
And status became expensive.
But our humble chappal remained exactly where it had always been: close to our feet, and closer to our hearts.
A simple question
Why can’t the world’s simplest footwear also be a style statement?
Not by changing what made it special.
But by celebrating it.
A familiar feeling, dressed up
Not by changing what made it special.
But by celebrating it.
So we gave it a new colour. A beautiful royal purple. We dressed its familiar straps with elegant golden studs, a little sparkle, a little attitude, and a name it had always deserved.
A beautiful royal purple.
Golden studs. Same familiar soul.
